Conference Code of Conduct

All participants at the Summit for Space Sustainability (“the conference”) are required to agree to the following code of conduct. Participants include attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and staff. Conference staff will enforce this code throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.

This conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery are not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, X (formerly known as Twitter), and other online media. 

Conference participants agree to:

  • Treat one another with respect and consideration.

  • Refrain from personal attacks directed toward other participants.

  • Respect confidentiality requests by speakers and other attendees.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the conference staff immediately.

Secure World Foundation’s Commitment:

Conference staff will investigate all incidents reported at the event with discretion and confidentiality. If a participant is asked to stop harassing behavior, they are expected to comply immediately. If deemed necessary, conference staff reserves the right to take additional actions to ensure the conference is a safe environment for all participants, including expulsion of offenders from the conference in its entirety or in part without a refund. Our team will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference.
